What is the Weather Like in Fethiye, Oludeniz, and Hisaronu?

If you are booking your 2026 holiday from the UK or Europe, you are likely wondering: "Will it be hot enough for the beach?" or "Do I need a jacket for the evening?" The short answer is: Fethiye is beautiful! However, depending on whether you stay at Calis Beach, the Blue Lagoon, or up in Hisaronu, the air can feel quite different.

1. The Summer Heat (June, July, August)

This is "peak summer" for those arriving via Dalaman Airport. Expect non-stop sunshine.

  • Fethiye & Oludeniz: It gets very hot, often above 35 °C. It’s the perfect weather for  boat trips and swimming in the turquoise waters.
  • Hisaronu: Since Hisaronu is located on a hill, it is usually 2-3 degrees cooler than the coast. This mountain breeze makes the nightlife much more comfortable after a long day in the sun.

2. The "Sweet Spot" (May, September, October)

Many locals and repeat UK visitors think this is the best time to visit Fethiye.

  • Weather: Temperatures hover between 25 °C and 28 °C. It’s warm enough for sunbathing on Calis Beach but cool enough for a Jeep Safari or hiking to the Ghost Village (Kayakoy).
  • Evening Tip: In May and October, the temperature drops quickly after sunset. You will definitely need a light cardigan if you are dining out in Hisaronu or Fethiye Harbour.

3. Winter Sunshine (November - March)

Fethiye enjoys about 300 days of sunshine. Even in January, you can experience bright days with 15-18 °C.

  • The sea remains warm enough for a quick dip until late November.
  • While not "bikini weather," it's the peak season for hiking the Lycian Way or enjoying a quiet coffee at a promenade cafe.
